Four Conservative Women Formed An Anti-Socialism “Squad” And It Did Not Go Well

In a move that has weird, Avengers: Endgame overtones, America’s scheming right wing has announced the formation of a powerful new “Conservative Squad” to face off against the group of freshman Democrat representatives often referred to as “The Squad” that includes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib.

Of course, unlike the elected officials whose fame they’re attempting to piggyback on, this new, all-white batch of political hopefuls vowing to face down the specter of Socialism consists of people who have yet to be elected.

They are all running as Congressional candidates in 2020 and include Jessica Taylor, Nancy Mace, Beth Van Dyne, and Michelle Fischbach. Taylor, an Alabama Republican who is running for a House seat, announced the counter-squad’s formation on official conservative news organ, Fox News, alongside her fellow anti-socialists.

Predictably to everyone except conservatives the response was less than enthusiastic.

That said, founding Squad member Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was unbothered by the move, tweeting “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
