NRATV star Dana Loesch will no longer be spouting nonsense on camera for the National Rifle Association after a legal dispute led the organization to cut ties with advertising firm Ackerman McQueen. Since Dana Loesch is technically an employee of Ackerman McQueen and not the NRA, she’s gone, too. At the same time, the NRA’s number two official, Christopher W. Cox, has resigned. Cox is described by the New York Times as “the gun group’s top lobbyist and the architect of its legislative strategy,” so good riddance.
BREAKING: Both NRATV and @NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch are over.— Shannon Watts (@shannonrwatts) June 26, 2019
“While the @NRA may continue to air past content, its live broadcasting has ended and its on-air personalities — including Dana Loesch — will no longer be the public faces of the NRA.”https://t.co/7Rqq6a3qwD
This shakeup apparently comes on the heels of a failed attempt to oust NRA President Wayne LaPierre. The organization has had a rough year all around, being investigated, having money troubles, and generally being the thing everybody hates because they can’t seem to stop attacking victims of gun violence.
You know what we say to the NRA when they’re having a bad time.
Now that the obvious joke is out of the way, here are the best digs on the internet about the NRA’s troubles and the firing of Dana Loesch.
I love that Dana Loesch started her day by defending companies that supply the Trump concentration camps, and ended it by getting fired. Perfection. Chef’s kiss.— Wendy Molyneux (@WendyMolyneux) June 26, 2019
Congrats to Dana Loesch and the NRA for finally trending for something that doesn’t involve a bunch of murdered schoolchildren.— The Volatile Mermaid (@OhNoSheTwitnt) June 26, 2019

Tweeted almost six years ago about @MomsDemand. This week, because of the advocacy of “bored women” with boxed wine, the NRA stopped production of NRATV and NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch lost her job. https://t.co/3mS0iV6Upa— Charlotte Clymer????️???? (@cmclymer) June 26, 2019

The #NRA didn't cut ties with loathsome Dana Loesch when she was threatening people.— Mrs. Betty Bowers (@BettyBowers) June 26, 2019
Just when #NRATV ran out of money to pay her to threaten people.
That tells you all you need to know about the NRA. pic.twitter.com/J0C8qgPXVc
Say what you will, but we'll always know that the only number two at the NRA will always be Ted Nugent— Chad Corley (@lrbt) June 26, 2019
perhaps the greatest irony in Dana Loesch being fired from the NRA is that she'll have to resort to Planned Parenthood for affordable healthcare— Born Miserable (@bornmiserable) June 26, 2019
The @NRA is being taken down by a bunch of teenagers.— Michael Skolnik (@MichaelSkolnik) June 26, 2019
Believe in young people. They will win.
As of now I am in charge of the NRA. We're pivoting away from YouTube videos of guys with rectangular heads getting upset in their cars and will be focusing more on photos of people's pets. https://t.co/48POELID8C— David Roth (@david_j_roth) June 26, 2019

Dana Loesch wasn’t an activist or a spokesperson — she was a professional mass shooting enabler. Thoughts and prayers won’t save lives, but her losing her job absolutely will.— Adam Best (@adamcbest) June 26, 2019
