With a COVID-19 vaccine finally on the horizon, some conversations are turning towards how many people will actually take it, and whether it’s safe to do so.
Three former presidents have already agreed to take it immediately when it’s available, to encourage public trust in science — something President Trump has constantly undermined throughout the pandemic but now suddenly wants people to believe in. And doctors have long tried to explain to anti-vaxxers that vaccines are carefully tested and the risks from them are extremely low.
But still, concern remains for some.
For others, that concern is bordering on comical, knowing how much absolute garbage humans put in their bodies throughout their lifetimes. And the mockery that comes with pointing it out has become the latest popular joke format sweeping across Twitter.
