Greta Thunberg Helpline ‘For Adults Angry At A Child’ Gets Nod Of Approval From Greta

Australian comedian Mark Humphries posted a satirical video advertisement for the “Greta Thunberg Helpline” today, which offers phone support “for adults angry at a child.” The video pokes fun at all the grown people who are attacking the 16-year-old climate activist who has spent this week addressing both the U.N. and the U.S. congress, admonishing crowds of adults for failing to act on climate change.

“Hi, I’m a middle-aged man with an embarrassing problem,” says a man as the ad begins. “I get irrationally angry at a Swedish girl who wants to save the planet.”

Luckily for him, there’s a number he can call!

“If you’re a grown adult who needs to yell at a child for some reason, the Greta Thunberg Helpline is here to tolerate you,” the voice-over says.

The joke ad goes through some of the more ridiculous reasons that real-life adults have given for attacking the young activist.

“She’s making the end of the world sound like the end of the world!” says one of the callers.

The video spread quickly on Twitter, reaching Thunberg herself in just two hours.

Perhaps the best part is what happens when one of the callers complains that Thunberg isn’t an expert and the hotline employee offers to patch them through to an expert. No spoilers, just watch.

The video has already been shared on Twitter over 60,000 times, and people are loving it.

Just beware of the comments, because there is an actual need for this helpline, clearly.
