Ivanka Trump is reportedly concerned about the future of her “promising” political career to the point that she is reportedly breaking with her father by planning to attend the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. According to a source that allegedly spoke with the Daily Mail on the subject, Ivanka thinks that “by attending Biden’s inauguration she will come across as a good sport and will gain future supporters.”
"Ivanka is worried that her promising political career is in jeopardy and she's doing whatever she can to save her reputation," said the "White House insider."
Absolutely no one is disputing the claim that Ivanka Trump is only interested in her own reputation right now, regardless of whether these claims are true. After all, her only public statement about the attempted coup incited by her dad including calling the insurrectionists "American Patriots." The only part of the story being disputed is the idea that Ivanka has a promising future in politics, which is widely being considered laughable.
Even before the assault on the Capitol last week, the Trump name was proving to be poison. According to multiple current and former "friends" of Ivanka and Melania, the elite circles that the Trumps are accustomed to had been distancing themselves and vowing to cut them out. Even common staffers in the Trump administration are worried that they won't be able to get work anymore.
So it's not surprising that the common reaction to the phrase "Ivanka's promising political career" has been jokes and more jokes.
