A whole house crashed onto an interstate highway in North Carolina near Charlotte as it was being transported by a tractor-trailer, blocking off all lanes of traffic other than one shoulder and causing cars to back up for miles on I-485.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt from the crash in spite of reports that smaller vehicles could be seen underneath the mobile home where it hit the pavement, with only four people sustaining minor injuries.

Hopefully, the owner of the house will be fairly compensated for probably not having a house anymore.

According to a witness who says the crash unfolded almost right in front of her, the incident was caused when one transfer truck clipped another, which must have made the one carrying the mobile home swerve until the house was nearly horizontal across the road.

“There was a tractor-trailer carrying a mobile home, a single-wide trailer, and he got in front of another transfer truck and kind of clipped them off,” said local Laura Butler.

With reports that this was more of an inconvenience than a tragedy, people on Twitter were quick to start with the jokes. Many referenced how out-of-control the housing market has become, posting fake ad material charging thousands in rent for the broken house on the highway with amenities including being a “commuter’s dream.”

Then, of course, there were the references to the Ever Given due to the public’s bizarre and insatiable appetite for stuck boats, and a decent number of cracks relating to the Wizard of Oz and that one song from the 90s.
