A man was arrested and his identity exposed online after he used the AirDrop app to send a photo of his genitals to an entire plane full of people, including children and the flight attendants, in the name of “having a little fun.”
What was less fun for him was the fact that he was also a passenger on that plane, and once everyone else figured out that he was the one who sent the photo, the only way he was going to be able to disembark was in police custody.
When confronted by a flight attendant, alerted to his identity by a fellow passenger who caught the interaction on film and posted it to TikTok, he confessed to what he had done and could do nothing else but accept the consequences.
The video, which has gone viral with over 5.1 million views, shows an aging man with white hair calmly sitting in his aisle seat while the flight attendant has to explain to said grown man why it’s not appropriate to send such photos to strangers.
“Why are you doing that?” the attendant asks.
“Just having a little fun,” says Larry Martin of Texas.
“That’s not fun for people, though,” says the definitely underpaid worker. “People have children. That’s really inappropriate.”
“It’s sexual harassment,” the TikTok user chimes in, and the flight attendant agrees.
According to a follow up video, she spotted him using AirDrop on his laptop after she received the invitation to view the photo.
Although she resisted the temptation to open it, after seeing that Martin was likely the one who sent the file, she could no longer resist and accepted it to see a woman’s face performing oral sex on a man’s penis, presumably Larry’s.
Not only was the TikTok user unhappy to see this, the man behind Martin, who was sitting with his two children, was reportedly furious, especially after Martin continued to view sexually explicit photos on his laptop, knowing the kids were sitting behind him. One man whose kid received but thankfully didn’t accept the AirDrop was “ready to fight,” according to the TikToker.
Once the flight landed, Martin was greeted by FBI agents who arrested him and talked to several of the other passengers from the flight, including the woman who took the video and who was, as she admits, messed up on pain medication from a dental procedure. The agent she spoke to said that Martin would spent the weekend in an airport jail cell.
