Nerf guns are a childhood staple and, as it turns out, really handy after birth.

Samantha Mravik-Miller didn’t want a repeat of her last delivery. Five years ago, Samantha and her husband welcomed their second child and the husband kept falling asleep while the baby was crying.
This time is different. This time, Samantha is arriving to the hospital locked and loaded. In December, she posted a photo of a Nerf gun packed in her hospital bag with the caption:
“Mom hack level 1,0000 Worried about the nights in the hospital with your newborn & dad sleeping? Well… then don’t forget one of these in your hospital bag 🤣”
As of this post, the photo has received 2.6k likes, 8.7 comments and 17k shares. We guess it struck a nerve with fellow moms.
Best use for a Nerf gun ever? 😂😂😂https://t.co/FZclQJQBRu— Gray Wolf (@graywolf442) January 29, 2020
A few people were concerned Samantha’s husband fell asleep during the birth, so she had to clarify in the comments.
Earlier this month, Samantha had an interview with parenting website The Romper where she admitted she threw empty water bottles at her husband after the births of their two older children. She said she chose the Nerf gun because it’s easier to aim than an empty water bottle.
