The world has few delights, so please enjoy this short story about the Secretary of the Treasury and Donald Trump henchman Steve Mnuchin getting absolutely bodied on Twitter by Guns ‘n’ Roses’ frontman Axl Rose. It started when Axl Rose decided he had a bone to pick with Mnuchin for some reason. There are probably plenty of good ones, but it’s not clear from his tweet which one it was that that really set him off on Wednesday.

“It’s official!” wrote Rose. “Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he’s officially an a**hole.”

Okay, go off, king.

Steven Mnuchin is not tagged in the post, but he’s definitely seems like the kinda guy who searches his own name. He quickly ran in all loud and wrong with his comeback to Axl Rose, replying, “What have you done for the country lately?”

Then he put up a little flag emoji. The only problem was that it was the flag for Liberia, not the U.S. So, which country was he asking about?

Mnuchin noticed his mistake, deleted it, and repeated the exact same stupid thing, but with an American flag. He must never have heard of screenshots. The Internet never forgets, and neither does Axl Rose, who made hay of the error.

He replied, “My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model but on the real unlike this admin I’m not responsible for 70k+ deaths n’ unlike u I don’t hold a fed gov position of responsibility 2 the American people n’ go on TV tellin them 2 travel the US during a pandemic.”

FINISH. HIM.

Axl Rose has every reason to be pissed, as do all citizens of the country, because we’re being tragically let down by the federal government in the fight against COVID-19. In some cases they seem to be gleefully working against us. It’s possible that Rose might be especially irritated because Trump was wandering around an Arizona presser with no mask on two days ago as they played “Live and Let Die,” one of his bands’ biggest hits.

The situation is tragic, but at least people can enjoy Axl Rose destroying Steve Mnuchin:

Though, to be fair, Mnuchin did kind of kick himself in the face too.
